  • PRESS RELEASE FROM GLOBAL BIOENERGETICS LTD

    For immediate Release 6-26-07

Global Bioenergetics Ltd launches new Bioemitter Website

Global Bioenergetics Ltd has launched their new Bioemitter website at www.bioemitter.com. The new Bioemitter system for the control of sea lice was launched at the Aquaculture Today Conference in Edinburgh in April 2007. High levels of interest was generated among aquaculture producers by this unique and pioneering technology which can revolutionise the aqauculture sector with its disease control methods.

The Bioemitter system is a chemical free way to treat sea lice infestations and other salmon illnesses such as IPN and PD using bioenergetics technology. The system involves placing 4 Bioemitters inside each fish cage; two large ones and two smaller ones. The large Bioemitters emit specially encoded electromagnetic frequencies which directly target the pest or disease issue within the cage. The smaller Bioemitters hold the emissions within the fish cage.

This new technique of controlling sea lice also allows farmers to meet the ever increasingly strict environmental standards they must comply with as well as allowing increased consumer confidence in the end product.

Richard Kenchington, CEO of Global Bioenergetics Ltd said:

"I am very pleased to announce the launch of our new Bioemitter website. This website means that fish farmers can now get all the details about the Bioemitters and sea lice control as well as costings and how to implement this new technology into their salmon cages.

"Trials in salmon farms in Ireland have shown control of sea lice numbers and a decrease in fish mortality as a result of use of the Bioemitters in the salmon cages. New trials have begun to demonstrate elimination of worms in salmon and also in shellfish farms for the treatment of e-coli bacteria.

"The implications for increased productivity and added value for the industry are very exciting, as well as the benefits for consumer and the environment."
